2014. As told by Casey Carlberg
And other supporting characters.
Hello family! 2014 has been a whirlwhind adventure for me. Though, that's kind of how I prefer things. Always busy.
I suppose I'll get the boring work stuff out of the way first.
Most of you know that I'm working in downtown Chicago's Loop as a Dental Hygienist. The office, Downtown Dental, is an awesome environment to be in, and I love going into work every day. Well, most days ;)
I especially enjoy the fact that my job allows me to go on really cool adventures in my city as well as other neat places. I'll expand more on travely type things later.
One of my favorite things about being in the city is my access to all sorts of entertainment; namely, concerts, sporting events, and everything about SUMMER!

I love my Blackhawks and am lucky to have seen them play at the United Center from the 3rd row! I can say that I've been to my fair share of White Sox and Cubs games as well, but they're not nearly as fun to watch. Maybe next year, right?

In October, we ventured East again to see some friends in D.C. and North Carolina. We're really not the best tourists, (mostly me) but I've managed to snag some great photos to remember the things we stood next to on these trips :)

I've been in Chicago for a little over 2 years now, and I'm happy to say that between 3 apartments, 2 serving jobs, finding an awesome dental office to work in, traveling, and falling in love... The excitement has only just begun! I look forward to experiencing new and amazing things every day from here on out and being able to share them with you guys -- my loving and supportive family :)
I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and the happiest New Year!
I trust that 2015 will bless me with just as much joy and goodness that this year has, and I hope that it pays equal tribute to all of you!
Cheers!
Casey + JR

Grandma/Grandpa-- I'm posting this photo to show you how tall the trees we planted in the back yard at my mom's house have gotten! |
